When a client enters Prats Residential Behavioral Health Agency, they meet with a therapist who conducts an assessment. During this assessment the therapist gathers information about the client that is going to help them create an effective treatment plan. The therapist and the client then create an individualized treatment plan based on the client’s medical history as well as their personal history. This allows the therapist to gather the whole picture of the client’s needs and goals based on their life.
The goal of the therapist is to help the client become an active ingredient in their own care. This allows for the client to use their strengths to reach their goals. The idea is to educate the client teaching them coping skills to manage their mental health.
